I found a work around it's not very pretty but it works, so long as
you don't scale by a factor of 1.0. Which is fixable. Basically, I had
to move the center point of the scale plane an extra distance based on
the scale factor to compensate for the shift when the geometry is
scaled. I will link to the working definition below.
