Hi David,

I have a question. I don't know how much GH is a preview of how people
will work with CAD software in 10 years, but I think it is going to
change the way people approach modelling and creating smart 3d
modells.

I was wondering if there would be a way that you could implicate a way
to record what you are modeling in rhino, pretty much have grasshopper
layout the modeling steps that you did inside rhino as components.
This way grasshopper would be a full featured history tree for rhino
that people can use or not, however they like. In addition you will
have all the powerfull programming and evaluation features of
grasshopper to creat easy smart modells. What I am missing inside
grasshopper is the intuitivity of modelling and creating shapes that
rhino provides. Pls don't missunderstand I am fascinated with
grasshopper´s potential and ease of use, I just hope to be able to
combine the intuitiviness of rhino with the explicitness of
grasshopper.

So to make a long mail short. Do you think it would be techically
possible to have a recording button inside grasshopper that will
record rhino commands while modeling inside rhino?

It would be great to modell a design intuitively inside rhino, while
at the same time being able to use all the evalation features of
grasshopper, to implicate things like costs or adding comlicated
shapes that you programmed inside GH.

One more idea:

Is there a way to create containers for component clusters. Maybe you
could drag and drop these containers onto rhino objects to perform
certain modeling tasks. This way we can have a libray of construction
and modelling features, like the rib tutorial that was recently
posted. It could be a container that you drag and drop on a surface.

Thanks Oliver
