perlin noise

I'm no expert on the subject, and 'scuse me if this is sacrilige, but
has anyone seen any script component or otherwsie that uses Perlin
Noise? This as a opposed to just your everyday garden variety random
function. I have a landscape that needs a bit of noise is all...
