I am a graduate thesis student investigating the relationship between parts to a whole...I have written a script that projects lines onto a surface and then placed boxes on the curves that represent bricks...I would like to control the amount of projection each one has in relation to the other...for example...the units shouldn't project more that 2 inches beyond the one it sits upon or under...My question...is there a way I can restrict their movements other than the form of the original section curves...where the bricks would multiply or decrease in number automatically according to the limits of there projection? I have posted a few screen shots (on the gallery page http://groups.google.com/group/grasshopper3d/files?hl=en, named control components 1 thru 4 ), they might make my question a little clearer...
