lost functionality, print to pdf

just a minor thing, but it looks like something's changed in the
recent releases re: printing to pdf from the preview shading. In the
past, a print of the display window with closed curves and 3d text
would preserve these entities...the curves would stay closed (though
projected and in 2d) and the text would be preserved as an editable
text field. All this meant that it was really easy to continue in a
program like illustrator...
