Hi all-

I am an environmental researcher in a remote village in southwestern
China- would like very much to set up a computer lab here for the
kids in the village- I am excited by all the people involved with OLPC.

Just curious- is anyone else working in China? and I am also not
sure whether a computer lab is best, or to try and purchase enough
computers for each child (I think the latter may be too costly)- your
thoughts are appreciated-

The current price is about $200 per unit. We are told that this will
decrease to $75 in 2010. Some of us are trying to find funding for
more placements. You are welcome to join the conversation.

Edward, just curious where you got the information that the price will decrease to $75 by 2010. Are you quoting the price of the XO-2 as announced at the OLPC Global Conference back in May?
