SJ, You mentioned that you might be able to point us towards the Foundation board's bylaws (which should be public somewhere, right? I spent 15 minutes on Google and couldn't find them, but IANAL so I don't know very much about these things.) I'm interested particularly in the procedures that the board has for approving new seats and members.
I imagine folks on the grassroots list would be quite interested in reading this as well, so I've cc'd them in case someone can dig these things up faster than either of us can find it. :) (Also, if someone finds these first, please forward.) I'm pretty psyched to continue the discussion Yama started, and to come up with a good mechanism for choosing a community member to sit on the board for set terms*.
