Hi Chris, Adam and Marten! Thank you for your useful answers!
I think, we should handle the XOs with care and keep them away of any moisture or salt water exposition, even if they are supposed to be nearly indestructible, in order to prevent such damages (as Adam pointed them out). As for the surface treatment Marten mentioned, it could be an useful solution, but most suitable in labor conditions (that is for our repair centers worldwide). Thank you all, Best regards Samy Selon Chris Leonard <[email protected]>: > Samy, > > I would suggest reaching out to OLPC Oceania as the group with the most > relevant (fairly large-scale) experience with what I imagine would be a > similar set of environmental conditions. > > There is contact information available on the wiki: > http://wiki.laptop.org/go/OLPC_Oceania > > and you could also ask Supp0ort Gang member Pia Waugh as she has worked with > OLPC Oceania on their deployments (although mostly on the school server, I > think). > > cjl > > On Mon, Jun 8, 2009 at 12:50 PM, Adam Holt <[email protected]> wrote: > > > Subject: [Grassroots-l] Moisture and salt water: any experience?
