Sorry to bother you again, I tried the grass6.2.2 cvs update but am still having the same issues (see below). I thought it could be a permission issue but changing the permission didn't fix the problem. Any thoughts. Travis

Manuel, I am running: Linux version 2.6.20-1.2948.fc6 Markus, I believe this is the problem you are referring to, the gis.m will start for a few seconds then disappears after "entering grass". I will give 6.2.2 a try.
