only a comment (perhaps I should tell this to the bugtracker)
v.rast.stats on grass6.3.cvs from this week does not delete the
temporary raster-flies created for the statistics!
hope, this is only a small thing
(or perhaps it is because I had to repeat the command to get the
statistics of several raster maps for my vector map)
