GRASS 5.4.1 has been packaged and released today, 26th July 2007. The
source code is available on the main GRASS website at
http://grass.itc.it/grass54/source/ and on numerous mirror sites.
This is a legacy release of the "classic" 5.x GRASS series. This release
includes various accumulated bugfixes since the 5.4.0 release in November
2004, but MANY BUGS STILL REMAIN and have since been fixed in the 6.x
GRASS series, where development is still ongoing. This 5.4.1 release is
basically unsupported and is provided only as a courtesy to users who, for
whatever reason, cannot use a 6.x GRASS release.
The current stable release of GRASS is 6.2.2, released 16th July 2007, and
the latest features are available as always in the development version,
currently 6.3.
