We have build a real-time log processing system with 
fluentd->kafka->storm->elasticsearch.

Some of our users don't want to use our preferred  log collector(fluentd), 
 we are planning to build a kafka-proxy like tool which can receive logs 
through REST/protobuf/thrift and common kafka api, and then forward logs to 
kafka.

Allow users to choose their own favorite tools.

in my point of view, Graylog2-radio may be doing similar works. any 
suggestions ?
