Thanks, this was VERY helpful to me. Any idea why putting https.port=443 in 
/etc/graylog2/web.conf seems to have no effect at all. If I uncomment the 
line in /etc/sysconfig/graylog2-web and make it 443 I get a permission 
denied fail on launch. I presume I have to give user graylog2 access to 
port 443 somewhere?
