Since the folks at graylog have rolls out the nice looking website and rolled out the much awaited 0.90.0 release I encountered a bug with the debian packages.
I had to do a re-install from scratch and manually merge in the old config file values. (though once you get the config pointed at the elasticsearch and mongodb servers it connects and starts, albet slowly) 1.) Graylog2 radio is SLOOOOOW only getting 1/10th of speed from server. was at ~400-500 mps now 0-50 mps - New radio input config blows away old version? 2.) Original (finja) Debian packages are incompatible with original "official graylog.org" Debian packages. ( http://finja.brachium-system.net/~jonas/packages/graylog2_repro/) versus (graylog.org) - config files are misplaced /etc/graylog2.conf (graylog.org) vs /etc/graylog2/server/server.conf (finja) - /var/spool/graylog2 isnt created during "upgrade" - permissions changed _graylog2 to graylog2? - init files changed (new systemd config format? wtf) Any one run into the slowness issues? any solutions?
