I had the same issues on package install, but I think services started for me.
But you need to be running graylog2-server v0.91.0-rc.1 to connect to ElasticSearch 1.3.x. http://www.graylog2.org/news/post/0005-graylog2-v0-90-has-been-released (bottom of the page talks about rc.1). You either need to downgrade ElasticSearch, or move Graylog to graylog2-server v0.91.0-rc.1 Dustin On Wednesday, October 1, 2014 4:49:43 PM UTC-4, Zookie wrote: > > Installed Ubuntu 14.04, Java, Mongodb, and Elasticsearch 1.3.3. > > Ran this off the Graylog2 site: > > wget > https://packages.graylog2.org/repo/packages/graylog2-0.90-repository-ubuntu14.04_latest.deb > sudo dpkg -i graylog2-0.90-repository-ubuntu14.04_latest.deb > sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https > sudo apt-get update > sudo apt-get install graylog2-server graylog2-web > > > Get the following output > > Reading package lists...
