Hi, Graylog2 was the old name of the project prior to Graylog 1.0.0 and there are still some references left when changing the name from Graylog2 to Graylog didn't warrant the effort, like the Java source package names or some references in the configuration file and scripts. They will vanish with time, though.
So yes, Graylog2 and Graylog are by all means identical.
