Hi Rafael,

Graylog is joining the Elasticsearch cluster as a regular node, which just
doesn't store any data and can't be elected as a master. This is not
possible using the HTTP interface of Elasticsearch (usually on port
9200/tcp) but only using the regular (binary) TCP transport protocol
(usually port 9300/tcp).

Unfortunately, but completely understandable, the Amazon Elasticsearch
service doesn't allow "external" nodes to join the managed cluster and only
exposes the HTTP interface of Elasticsearch to clients. Thus, it's not
possible to use Graylog with the managed Elasticsearch service on AWS right
now.

Cheers,
Jochen
