Hello!

I wanted to ask if there is a specific reason why graylog collector needs
write permissions for log files. It should suffice to have read permissions
since graylog should open files with -r only flag.

Caused by: java.nio.file.AccessDeniedException

is written to collector log everytime a file has read-only permissions.

OS: Linux RedHat 6.2/7
