Hi all, I have an issue with the syslog output plugin (https://marketplace.graylog.org/addons/8eb67dc0-b855-455c-a37f-0fa8ae522854).
I opened an issue on the syslog plugin site at https://github.com/wizecore/graylog2-output-syslog/issues/6, but I don't think it is an issue with the plugin. Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce this on a fresh 1.3.4 instance (ova download); it works fine there. On my production systems, graylog 1.3.4 (installed via rpms on centos7, upgraded a few times), I installed the syslog plugin in the plugin folder, restarted the instances. I see the plugin in the list, all good. When I want to create an instance of this output plugin, the pop-up window asking for the configuration only shows 2 fields, and not 6 as expected. I see "Title", and "Prefix (optional). Nothing else. One would expect to see the "protocol", "host", "port", "format" (all mandatory) and "maxlen" (optional), as coded in the SyslogOutput.java. Yet, I can create the instance (without the needed configuration)! Any ideas there? There is nothing in the logs that can help me and the plugin code looks just fine to me.
