Hi,

you can disable the web interface using the web_enable configuration 
setting (see 
https://github.com/Graylog2/graylog2-server/blob/2.0.1/misc/graylog.conf#L80-L82
).

If you don't start any inputs on a Graylog node and it's not a master node, 
it won't do much, so it's almost as good as a pure web interface node.
