Hello, I am also using the metioned SNP plugin and I do receive test SNMP
traps, but the OID is shown as numbers, and not as Textual representation.
Is there a way
to debug why it i snot shown as text ?

I will shortly describe the setup:

1. on test system and on the graylog cluster (both Centos 7) I installed
SNMP packagesw using
   yum install net-snmp-utils net-snmp
2. I configured in graylog GUI new Input SNMPs and I put the file
graylog-plugin-snmp-0.3.0.jar into the plugin directory and restarted
graylog
I can see in the graylog server log file that snmp plugin is mentioned.

3 I sent the test snmptrap using command on the test system:
# snmptrap -v 2c -c public GraylogHost:PORT ""
NET-SNMP-EXAMPLES-MIB::netSnmpExampleHeartbeatNotification
netSnmpExampleHeartbeatRate i 42342

4. I receive in the GUI the snmptrap . Like mentioned before I only see OID
as numbers, not as textual representation.

In the GUI I see something like this:

message
SNMP trap 645517149
snmp_0_1
10
snmp_internet
1.3.6.1.4.1.8072.2.3.1
snmp_request_id
645517149
snmp_sysUpTime
596725620
snmp_trap_type

Thanks!

Lec
