I agree. But the Docker GELF driver creates some useful fields in GELF 
format. This solution does not require changes in the actual applications 
running inside Docker. Please, see bellow an example of an Apache log 
received via GELF:

The next step is to create an extractor to parse the Apache message, and 
the same for other application logs.
