I did the 2.0.3 to 2.1 update via yum on centos7 also. api was not changed. 
I was able to reach api using old url.

After watching this thread, I did following
 
1. http://myip:12900/ -> http://myip:9000/api/ 
in  /etc/graylog/server/server.conf for rest_listen_uri setting.
2. systemctl restart graylog-server
3. see screenshot 

The only concern I have is that it take very long time api url to return
