I'm quite frustrated with this, and am getting nowhere. it's far from
intuitive , but I'll muddle though Any help I can get from folks here would
be appreciated.

Ok it gets worse,

1) When I try to save the stream with the rule I get that error message in
the previous post.
2) I decided , screw it, I'll start from scratch, deleted the input I had
created , created a new one, and when I try to start it, I get a error
message it can't assign the IP, bu t it's my workstation so I know it's
good.and there are no firewalls or other devices between us.

I'm now getting even more errors.

Attached is my input config, and the error msgs.
