Microsoft is currently running a HotMail banner ad campaign that consistently breaks FireFox when the ads are loaded, and appears to be related to the installation of Greasemonkey (GM must be enabled).
See: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forum/1/650354 The result is jumbled JavaScript code overlaying the page top, forcing the page content well below the page fold, leading the user to believe the page itself is broken and therefore cannot be read. This anomaly appears to be directly related to the JavaScript associated with the Microsoft HotMail banner ad campaign not playing nice with Greasemonkey (or vice versa). The following are links to a few pages that contain the offending MS ads -- whether or not the MS HotMail banner ad appears with every page load, I don't know: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/04/23/republicans-slam-sec-porn-surfing-report/ http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2010/04/20/comedy-central-censors-south-park-episode-muslim-threats/?loomia_ow=t0:s0:a4:g4:r3:c0.000000:b0:z5 http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/04/22/federal-air-marshal-charged-raping-woman-airport-hotel/?test=latestnews I discovered that if I disable GM and reload the offending pages, the pages then render correctly. Re-enabling GM and reloading the pages again causes the error to return. FF Is my primary browser, OS is Win 7 64-bit, and I have all latest updates for all apps and drivers. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "greasemonkey-users" group.
