As you may know, the status bar is being abolished in Firefox 4, in favor of 
the new Add-on Bar. It works like any other toolbar, except it is togglable 
and its buttons may be organized and moved across toolbars. Greasemonkey 0.9 
still only uses the antiquated status bar. Will this be changed sometime in 
the future? Currently, the Greasemonkey icon is the only one inhabiting my 
add-ons bar, as many extensions have already implemented the new buttons.

To my knowledge, these buttons are backwards compatible with other versions 
of Firefox besides 4, so even if the status bar option was totally phased 
out, most users could still have access to Greasemonkey's menus.
