Is there a way to tell greasemonkey to use scripts without copying them in the profile directory ?
No.
If not, is there a way to setup scripts without having to open the file in firefox?
No.
When I synchronize my scripts among several machines, I have to install each modified script, which is really annoying.
Automatic update checking is coming out Real Soon Now, so this will be a generally less painful solution. (Assuming your scripts are hosted somewhere, and installed from there.)
If there's no other way, I'll write a script to copy the files and regenerate the xml index
Don't do that. That's only likely to result in breakage and pain. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "greasemonkey-users" group.
