Yes. Security.  There's a number of ways for scripts to break out of the
sandbox, and for pages to manipulate that, and we work hard to keep that
surface small enough to be safe.

You can make restartless addons, and they come with much less boilerplate
than extensions of old.  If you want a real extension, please make one.
