I think you should install Firebug to find out where the relevant styles come from. Of course you are looping through them, but if the stylesheet that contains the visible link color defintions is loaded from a different url, you'll never be able to modify those styles that way because of the same-origin protection. Maybe, the only styles you can access are some transcluded files for some layout stuff but not the colors. And even for the colors you find, keep in mind that "color" is an universal attribute that might as well influence some area you'll probably never see text in, for example because all sub elements define their own font colors.

The script itself however works fine the way it is on my local test file, which contains the CSS in the sourcecode. I had to allow scripts for files beforehand of course, but that's a Greasemonkey specific security setting, nothing from Firefox.
