Good job resurrecting a 4 year old post. You might try again as I just installed a clean Firefox 23.0.1 on a new os install machine and then used the same link above for installing greasemonkey 1.11. Worked without issue here so it could be your Firefox installation or some caching done by your ISP or other network related issue.
