I got the same exact problem since v1.13. But only after removing the 
script called "google domain blocker". Firefox will not open after i remove 
that script if greasemonkey v1.13 is installed, doesn't happen with v1.12. 
Doesn't help if greasemonkey is completely uninstalled and all scripts are 
gone either after that. As soon as greasemonkey v1.13 is installed after 
the removal of "google domain blocker" then firefox won't open again.
