Greetings, In 1998 the Cultural Restoration Tourism Project began the restoration of the Baldan Baraivan Monastery in Mongolia. Since then we have been promoting responsible tourism by bringing tourists along to the site to help the local community in the restoration process. Our aims are to direct tourist dollars into local communities and local economies as well as affording the tourist a real understanding of the culture and its people. So far we have met with great success.
I wanted to take the opportunity to invite everyone in the San Francisco Bay Area to an awareness event we are hosting. Below you will find all of the details. We look forward to a large attendance. If you would like to find out more about our organization and its work in Mongolia check out our website at: www.crtp.net Warmly, Mark Hintzke Managing Director Cultural Restoration Tourism Project You are cordially invited to attend the Cultural Restoration Tourism Projects event: Mongolia Restoring a Temple, Reclaiming a Culture Mongolia :: Rebuilding a Temple :: Reclaiming a Culture is a group exhibition featuring Mongolian and International artists. Contemporary and traditional artworks by Mongolian artists included folk and religious subject matter. The international artists exhibit paintings, photographs, mixed-media, and installation projects inspired by Mongolia. Most works exhibited are available for purchase. Half of the proceeds will go towards the temple restoration and the remainder to the artists. Mongolian musicians will play unique songs typical to Mongolia. Every one is invited to this special evening. It is a wonderful chance to meet with the organization and learn about the restoration project. Mark A.
