B.E.E Japan - Bicycle for Everyone's Earth http://www.beejapan.org/
The Bicycle for Everyone's Earth (BEE) Ride across Japan started in 1997 when a group of three English Language Teachers participating on the Japan Exchange Teaching (J.E.T.) Program rode their bicycles from Wakkanai, Hokkaido, the northern most point of Japan, to Kagoshima, the southern tip of Kyushu. They made a lasting impression and managed to attract a lot of attention in the media, too! The subsequent BEE Rides were equally successful. This year, Bicycle for Everyone's Earth 2003 is aiming to increase its exposure one-hundred- fold and make this year's ride the best ever! BEEride ยท Bicycle for Everyone's Earth, Japan http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BEEride/ BEE is an event of the Ecology Special Interest Group (EcoSIG) of the Association of Japan Exchange Teachers (AJET) running since 1997. In a nutshell it is a cycle tour of Japan to learn and share about environmental issues, raise funds for environmental charities and basically travel sustainably while seeing the beautiful Japanese countryside. Anyone is welcome to join.
