Welcome to ECOT http://www.ecotonline.org/
The Ecumenical Coalition on Third World Tourism (ECTWT) was founded in 1982 as an outcome of a workshop that took place in Manila in 1980. It was the first workshop to analyse tourism from the perspective of the people of the Third World. All members expressed a consensus that tourism, as it is practised in most parts of the so- called Third World, has `wreaked more havoc than brought benefits'.
