Public Demonstration against visit of Tony Blair

Dear Friends,
The meeting to discuss and work out the plan for
people's action on visit of British Prime Minister
Tony Blair to India was held at Indian Social
Institute, New Delhi.
Representatives from Lok Raj Sangathan, CNDP, AIFTU,
People's Front, and Hind Naujawan Ekta Sabha
participated in the meeting. In addition ANHAD, INSAF,
SUCI, RSP, PUDR, Saheli, and Commitee for Justice for
Victims of 1984 have agreed to participate in any
action that is planned.
It has been decided to organise a public demonstration
on
Wednesday, 7th September 2005 at 11.00 AM
Mandi House Square (JNU City Centre).
New Delhi
All organisation can bring their banners and placards
for the demonstration. A common banner with the above
slogan will be prepared. Organisation can prepare and
use additional publicity and information material like
banners, posters, leaflets, etc for the action.
We appeal to all organisations and individuals to
circulate this information as widely as possible
through e-mail, telephones, personal contacts, etc.
and do maximum mobilisation for the action.
A leaflet is being drafted which will be finalised
tomarrow at 6.00PM. Those who would like to give their
inputs/feedback and participate in the demonstration
are requested to join the next meeting tomarrow at
Coffee House (Connaught Place), New Delhi. We also
appeal to all organisations to confirm if their
oaranisation name can be included in the leaflet.
