Hello all:
As you may have probably read, the floods have devastated large areas of the state. Just as some parts are recovering, Fanoos threatens to undo all attempts at moving back to normalcy. Unfortunately, people are not as excited to help as they were when Tsunami struck.  That is in line with the way we perceive disasters, and with the abjectly dismal coverage of such events by the media. In any case, after the current cyclonic depression Fanoos leaves, there will be much damage in its wake, and many men, women and children out in water. AID is an organisation that I know of that is capable of delivering meaningful relief with an understanding of relief as a right of the victims rather than in the charity mindset of many other organisations.
