NSVFF 2007 About us
After the big success of National Student Video Film Festival-2006, we proudly announce the second edition of NSVFF on 10, 11 and 12 February 2007. Keeping pace with the success of NSVFF 2006 at the national level, we moved one step ahead to international level. This time two new award categories are introduced for foreign student film makers. Along with the Students Video Film Festival this year we are also introducing a National Photography Competition for students. Due to the intense fame of NSVFF, we are also organizing a National Level Conference on "MEDIA Education: Challenges Ahead", with some of the prominent league of speakers from the Media fraternity to be a part of this fabulous and happening national event. Vision Students of various media institutes prepare documentaries and short films during their course of study. They are thus budding film makers of tomorrow. Jahangirabad Media Institute (JMI) since its inception felt that there was no platform for the students to package and show their creativity. To fill this vacuum and to give the students an opportunity for grooming their talent this film festival has been conceived by JMI. Special Features It is the only nationally acclaimed student video film festival in India Over 600 entries are expected from more than 150 institutes from India. More than 50 entries from foreign countries will participate in the festival. Eminent luminaries in field of documentary, films and social movements will participate in the festival. This time around 5000 delegates are expected to visit the film festival. Multicolored souvenir will be published and circulated to all over the country. The festival has already captured the attention of media and the event will be widely covered by both visual and print media. We hope that you would take this opportunity to reach out young creative segments of the society. Already leading social agencies as Oxfam, Action Aid, Greenpeace and organisations like Airtel, Hindustan Times, HCL Technologies etc., have associated themselves as collaborative agencies and support for the event.
