Accused dies in hospital THRISSUR: A remand prisoner at the Viyyur Central Jail died at the Government Medical College at Mulankunnathukavu here at 9.45 p.m. on Monday.
Shaji, 38, of Kuttiyathode Koyikkal Nikathil House, Cherthala, accused in a theft case, complained of chest pain while being brought by the police from Kochi to Viyyur on Monday and was hospitalised. There are allegations that Shaji complained of chest pain after being given third degree treatment.
