We are planning to make a video documentary. Will be shooting with three families. One who is doing home learning for their kids, one who is into self healing and doesn¢t take any medicines( they have had home births and no vaccinations to their kids) and another one who is into natural farming. Basically the film is trying to look at our relationship with nature and looking at people who our making real life choices and creating alternatives in their day to day lives. In the same spirit we are trying to do a ¡ Zero Waste¢ shoot. Trying to minimize our waste to Zero. Instead of plastic cups while traveling we will carry cups made of coconut shells, replacing plastic bottles with copper bottles, carrying cloth bags while doing any shopping for the film. We are looking for better alternatives battery operated equipment. Especially the once use types of batteries, which have a short life and are thrown into the garbage and later leech deadly chemicals into the soil. Actually they are not really ¡disposable¢ by any means. We have dropped the idea of using chord less mikes in order to avoid using batteries. We are trying to find an audio mixer which has a big rechargeable battery instead of smaller batteries in order to minimize the damage.
