Indian Express and the likes are taking this opportunity to have a go at the left intellectualism in the country. If one takes a close look, we'll find that many left intellectuals have condemned not just the March 14 violence but even the WB Govt's policies and earlier incidents at Nandigram that led to this turn of events. (something that Indian Express and other "National" newspapers did not want to even talk about, as they were busy praising the Buddha Govt for its "bold" steps towards industrialization).
Now Prabhat Patnaiks and Teesta Setalwads of the nation are only helping those who want everything to become "right", the way WB Govt and CPM has been moving, so that any left voice, intellectual or not, are not taken seriously by anyone. -sudeep On 3/27/07, [EMAIL PROTECTED] <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > http://www.indianexpress.com/interactive/comment.php?id=26726 > > Time for us to record our feelings on Nandigram. > CK Raju --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ greenyouth mailinglist is the activist support mailinglist for kerala run by Global Alternate Information Applications (GAIA) To post to this group, send email to [email protected] -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
