KABANI-the other direction is launching a photography contest for young
photographers in Kerala on their views on tourism.
Subject : Fair Trade Holidays in Kerala: Tourism- the other way,
THE MESSEGE
Tourism needs a different view both on its boons and banes. The benefit
sharing possibilities, masqueraded aftermaths, the capitalised
economies, all needs to be brought to light because we believe* tourism
is possible in the other direction*. Colours, images, photographs and
all of them through the lens can be an effective tool to pass on the message
THE EVENT
Kabani is arranging a photography contest for the young photographers of
Kerala. Besides enabling the ultimate objective on propagating the
concept of a different model of tourism, the contest would be a splendid
opportunity for those who have a different eye behind the lens.
THE AWARD
Besides cash awards and other prices for the winner the highlight of the
contest would be that the winner would be invited to Switzerland for the
opening exhibition of the photographs. The best of the photographs
received will be exhibited in Switzerland, other European countries and
in different places of Kerala.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
The photographers should be not more than *35 years* in age
The interested photographers should register before *8^th June 2007*
A workshop will be arranged for the registered participants so as to
convey the concept, objectives, rules & regulations and other
pre-requisites for the contest
