It just provides space with some built in facilities for IT firms. A particular space can be taken up by SPACE or Infosys. It just depends on who asks for it first. It is for these firms or thier clients to decide on whether they use free or proprietery stuff. But you said within a SEZ ,a township project is getting acceptable in the name of IT. This is the difference between the previous agreement and the current one. We have specifically insisted that 70% at least should be set aside for IT. I agree SPACE didn't take a space within Technopark. But it did rent out a space. And you would also agree there would not have been a difference if that space was called technopark. So the theory that Free software will not thrive if we take space on rent or get together is wrong.Instead I also agree that this is not mandatory for free software. Nor is it for propretery software. There are many who work from home and abroad in these firms too. My point is -why do you differentiate Free and propretery with respect to the space occupied? I don't think space has any relevance. I am also afraid my friends are playing into the hands of those who say free software cannot be a business it can just be a charity. Smart City is a project exactly on the same lines as Technopark. And we can discuss on the contribution that Technopark has made too. Iam not saying owners envy neighbours pride as the self financing advocates put it. Iam saying the opposite. I said that I am not bothered where one finds a job. I am just bothered if the state government says we are not concerned about your livelihood. I was ignoring the state boundaries rather than potraying them as benefactors.Smart City is no different from Technopark or Infopark. In fact if things go as we plan Infopark will be bigger than Smart City in 2 years. So these issues that you mention are not against Smart City but against the Superset - of IT parks. I don't think people have voted against that . (The opinion polls reflect this too) Regards, On 5/28/07, *Anivar Aravind* <[EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>> wrote: Joseph Mathew wrote: > I am slightly confused.
