Murali,
KSSP has been swinging on an OOnjal in Athirappilly. From my limited
interactions with some of the people there what I have heard is that some
local KSSP activists are supporters but the official KSSP just went in exile
after CPIM came to power. And Project Elephent! Who all did it? Eesa
(spelling may be wrong), one of the big shots who did the study, was part of
the corrupted Tropical Botanical Garden Research Institute when the EIA
(Environment Impact Assessment) was done. How can they put it in to project
elephent then? There are elephent corridors in the area, but who is the
authority to decide that? KSSP is the best example of opportunist politics,
I would say, they cant take a stand on it. They were forced to take many
times, because of people's pressure, but now it is no more needed. And
furthermore, KSSP, is one among many NGOs, who try to hide thier NGO
identity and take the pilgrimage of non funded politics. This guilt itself
doesnt make to count an answer from them. If I sound very harsh on this,
sorry couldnt help
