A group of feminists have started a new blog called Ultra Violet to reflect the young feminist view on life in contemporary India. We felt there was a need for something like this because women's lives and needs in India are changing at a rapid pace. The blog will act as a platform for opinion, exchange, discussion and debate. It is an initiative by Hengasara Hakkina Sangha, a women's rights organization in Bangalore, India, which works in the areas of gender, law and rights.
