I find this rather interesting. Till the other day, 'poverty-illiteracy-oppression' were the root causes of terrorism for the Left. Without doubt, this change of heart is the result of the 'Kafeel effect'. Maybe the good professor decided not to mock the intelligence of his readers with the Glasgow terror attacks so fresh in the mind. We have indeed come a long way! It was a no-brainer to debunk the Left's root cause theory of terrorism to begin with. A glance at the lop echelons of the al Quaeda should have convinced even the semi-literate that anything but poverty and illiteracy are the root causes. Here is the review of a book that deals with the subject: http://www.csmonitor.com/2007/0828/p13s02-bogn.html Best regards, Murali.
