I remember reading M N Vijayan's sarcastic reference to a professor [ in his
"Kavithayum Manassastravum"] who protested against Vijayan's sexual
interpretations of Vailoppilli poems. Vijayan says, ha had to ask him
bluntly, ' didn't you ever kiss your wife?"

decades later, Vijayan opined in an interview [ Mathrubhoomi
varandappathippu] thus; " Isn't it obscene to say tha homosexulas should
have the right to organise?"

I was tempted to ask " Mashe, didn't you ever kiss anybody other than your
wife?'
[ but polished it and wrote a general critical response]

Patom's prominent adversary is sexual minorities. Its language is not
yellow or blue but blunt rightist agressive moralism.

Another problem I have with their agression is the way in which the conflate
Xenophobia with anti imperialism.. as if each and every foreign person have
to be attacked..

Last year , a foreign research Student was physically attacked in kannur by
'radicals'. Some of us issued a protest statement in support of Luisa and
Dr. Asad, a Patom style anti imperialist wrote an article alleging
'conspiracy' behind the whole episode!!

I don't understand what exactly is the charge [ allegedely 'proved'] against
KSSP. Of course, the need to be critical of foreign funds
is not a new concern [ There is poetic justice in KSSP falling prey to their
own method often waged aginst othewr environmental groups].

Hope somebody will enlightn me on this
