I can't agree more with the sentiments expressed here. Though there is no law that prevents consenting adults from having sexual relations (at least in the case of heterosexuals), the police is too clever by half when dealing with such incidents - they invoke existing law on immoral trafficking, knowing only too well that the case would be thrown out in the first hearing - the deposition of the individuals involved is enough. But the 'moral' nature of our society is such that people fear the society more in incidents like these than being punished by a largely non-existent law.
We should have had a 'liberalization of morals' long before we had economic liberalization. Best regards, Murali.
