I remember SFI activists making noises and shouting slogans in JNU, when Tanika Sarkar and Prabhul Bidwai came to talk of the situation in Nandigram after their visit. In 2007, Anava karar was a main issue for SFI in the campus and they remained silent on the Nandigram small issue.
Also their position on the worker's struggle in JNU was very interesting. They have been telling that 'out side forces' are trying to take away the university and privatise it, so we should not raise the issue of worker's salary, and that we should support the administration. This would be the case with Chengara also, there may be some great forces behind all these. Only working class intellectuals like Pokerand his ilks would know about this. May be he and other comrades are getting information directly from Fidel Castero. Actual left is scratching the back of actual left.
