YAVATMAL: As many as 74 debt-ridden farmers have committed suicide in Maharashtra's Vidarbha region since the government's announcement of Rs 60,000-crore loan waiver scheme last month, an NGO tracking such cases has claimed. Vidarbha Janandolan Samiti (VJS) on Saturday said it has submitted a list giving the names of these farmers to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
