Dear Joseph peter, Some thoughts. The term sexual minority itself presumes a sexual majority. Is there a majority which has a fixed identity and sexual practises? Is heterosexuality biological? Or is it a phase in life which one has to overcome? I think there is a lot of possibilities in human sexuality. I donot deny that there are identities, but nevertheless, the 'majority' is not so straight.
Homosexual behaviour was criminalised by the British. But it is not very sure that we had a golden time before the britishers. Did homosexuality ever entertained the same privilages which heterosexuality has? Don't we need to interrogate the hetero homo binary? Also majority minority ?
